Two dates define the season of pride in the UAE. On 3 November, Flag Day, the national flag is raised across the country — on schools, offices, homes and towers — as everyone pauses together to honour it. A month later, on 2 December, the nation celebrates National Day, Eid Al Etihad, marking the 2 December 1971 founding of the Union. In 2026 it is the 55th.

Between those two dates, the flag's four colours and the outline of the Emirates appear everywhere — and increasingly, in gold around people's necks. This guide covers every way to wear the UAE map and flag in fine jewellery, from a quiet everyday outline to a statement piece in rubies and emeralds, with real prices from our UAE Pride collection.

Flag Day and National Day 2026: the dates

Occasion Date

Because every piece in our UAE Pride collection is made to order in Dubai, message us early: this month if you want to wear it for Flag Day, and by mid-November for National Day.

The UAE flag in jewellery: four colours, one meaning

The UAE flag — green, white and black horizontal bands with a vertical red band at the hoist — was raised for the first time on 2 December 1971. Its four colours are the pan-Arab colours, often read as hope and growth (green), peace (white), strength (black) and the unity and courage that bind them (red). In jewellery, those colours come to life through enamel and gemstones: emerald for green, diamond for white, black stones or enamel, and ruby for red.

Pride in Motion Diamond Necklace — the flag that moves

The Pride in Motion Diamond Necklace (AED 5,780) reimagines the flag in 18K yellow gold with brilliant-cut diamonds that glide along a track as you move, catching light from every angle. It is the most striking flag piece we make, and the one most often worn for Flag Day.

United Arab Emirates Gemstone Statement Ring

The Gemstone Statement Ring (AED 4,666–4,959) is a gold signet with a rectangular face pavé-set in rubies, emeralds, diamonds and black stones — the flag's four colours rendered in real gemstones. Bold, but wearable every day.

UAE Icon Pinky Ring

The UAE Icon Pinky Ring (AED 4,177–5,222) carries the flag in enamel with a vibrant stone on a compact 12 mm face. If the pinky is new territory, our pinky ring guide explains how to wear one.

Pride in Motion Thread Bracelet

The Pride in Motion Thread Bracelet (AED 2,935) is the most accessible flag piece: a hand-woven thread in red, black or green with an 18K gold flag charm. It comes in kids, women's and men's sizes — easy to match across the whole family for National Day.

UAE map necklaces

The outline of the seven Emirates is one of the most recognisable shapes in the region, and our most-searched UAE Pride design. Four ways to wear it:

  • UAE Heritage Outline Necklace (AED 2,799–3,789) — the map traced in a clean 18K gold outline, or with diamonds along the border. The everyday choice.
  • Emirates in Elegance Necklace (AED 3,035–5,249) — the map in Italian enamel: outline only, fully filled, or with a diamond border. The fully enamelled versions are the closest a map necklace gets to a flag piece.
  • UAE Heritage Full Diamond Necklace (AED 7,699) — the whole silhouette set in diamonds for continuous sparkle.
  • A Landmark of Luxury Diamond Necklace (AED 3,806) — choose the emirate that is home to you, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain, Ajman and Fujairah, as a gold silhouette with a single diamond.

Map and flag pieces for the wrist

Stack one with the flag thread bracelet for a National Day wrist — our bangle and bracelet stacking guide shows how.

Beyond the map: falcon and Dirham

Two more national symbols complete the collection. The UAE Falcon Enamel Necklace (AED 5,408–7,349) honours the national bird in 18K gold and Italian enamel. The Roots Dirham Coin Necklace (AED 7,303) recreates a UAE Dirham at true size, with the reverse engraved with Ayat Al Kursi or your own message.

How to style UAE pride jewellery

  • Flag Day at the office: a map outline necklace plus the flag thread bracelet — subtle, but clearly part of the moment.
  • National Day celebrations: the Pride in Motion necklace on its own, with the Gemstone Statement Ring as the one colour accent.
  • Layered: a map necklace at 16 inches with a fine name necklace at 15 — your name and your home together. See our layering guide.
  • For the family: matching flag thread bracelets in kids', women's and men's sizes.
